Nimbo for Business

Deploy it across your team —
or make it your own.

Nimbo is free for personal use. For organisations, a business licence adds what IT actually needs: central deployment policy, priority support, and — for hosting providers — full white-label branding. One signed licence key, verified offline, no per-user accounts to manage.

Two ways to deploy

Whichever way you run Nextcloud, there's a licence shaped for it.

Run it for your own staff, or sell it to your customers. One signed key unlocks the business tier on every machine — verified offline, no licence server.

For companies

Managed deployment

Run your own Nextcloud and want Nimbo on every desktop, configured and controlled? A per-seat licence gives IT the keys.

  • Push a pre-configured install — server and folders already set, nothing for staff to type
  • Lock settings by policy: enforce the server, mandatory folders, bandwidth caps, prevent sign-out
  • Stop data leaving to personal clouds — restrict to your server
  • Priority email support with a response SLA

For hosting providers

White-label client

Sell managed Nextcloud? Ship your branded desktop client without building or maintaining a fork. Nimbo, wearing your identity.

  • Your name, icon and colours throughout the app and installer
  • Your server baked in — customers download and sign in, nothing else
  • Your own update feed, on your schedule
  • We maintain the engine; you keep the brand and the relationship

How licensing works

Licensing that stays out of the way.

No licence servers, no per-seat accounts to provision, no phone-home. A licence is a single signed key your copies verify offline.

Tell us what you need

Seat count, or your branding and server for a white-label build. We agree terms.

02

Get your licence key

A single signed token. Drop it into your deployment, or we hand you a branded installer.

03

It just works, offline

Each machine verifies the key locally and unlocks the business features. Renew yearly; nothing to babysit.

Good to know

The practical questions.

What does it cost?
Managed deployment is £10 per seat/year, dropping to £6 at scale (£250/yr minimum). White-label is a £2,000 one-off setup plus an annual licence from £1,200 that scales with your user base. Those are starting points — tell us your scale and we'll firm up a quote.
Does the free version still exist?
Yes — Nimbo is free for personal use forever. Business licensing only adds organisation features on top; it never takes anything away.
Do our machines need a licence server?
No. Licences are verified offline against a key built into the app. Your fleet never has to contact us to keep working.
Is the source available?
Nimbo is source-available under the PolyForm Noncommercial licence — read and audit exactly what runs on your machines. Commercial use is what a business licence covers.
Which platforms?
Windows 11 today, with Linux on the roadmap. Talk to us if Linux timing matters for you.
Can we trial it first?
Absolutely — install the free version, point it at your Nextcloud, and see how it runs before we talk seats.
